Despite not racing since before the Tour de Yorkshire, Simon Yates is still part of Orica-GreenEDGE’s provisional Criterium du Dauphine startlist. He recently tested positive for Terbutaline, something the team don’t deny but they say the team doctor failed to apply for a TUE and that is why he has tested positive.
The team confirmed to Cyclingnews that they hope to have Yates cleared to race before Sunday so he can do the Dauphine. If not, he hopes to race the Tour de Suisse before the Tour de France next month.
