The performance of Wouter Wippert have not gone unnoticed. Various World Tour teams are interested in the Dutch sprinter. "There are some concrete offers" Wippert confirmed to TC Tubantia .
The 24-year-old Dutchman is currently part of the Australian Drapac team. Next season he will next season not join a Dutch or Belgian formation. "I think it's important to ride in a foreign team, because more is asked of you. In my eyes it is hard to find your place. I'm very fast, but I would like to see what else I can do."
His next goal is the National Championships in Emmen.
"The chance that it will be a sprint is quite big. And in that case I have a possibility to win. The strong teams are LottoNL-Jumbo, Giant Alpecin and Roompot. Those teams have will benefit fa sprint but of course they have enough riders to choose another tactic."
Wippert will do a race of more than 250km for the first time. "At 23km, Paris-Brussels is the longest race I've done. It is actually a kind of new adventure."
The Dutchman has won five races this season, including a stage in the Tour Down Under. In the Tour of California he was on the podium thrice.
