It's all about the Paris-Roubaix in the final weeks as Team Sky rider for Bradley Wiggins, and thus a winner of the Paris-Nice 2012 edition aims to fine-tune his disposition while working for Richie Porte and Geraint Thomas in the Race to the Sun.
As a reigning ITT world champion, Wiggins targets a victory in the opening prologue to be held on Sunday, but will devote all his work to Team Sky leaders afterwards.
„I want to have another week of solid racing, helping Geraint [Thomas] and Richie [Porte] in reaching their ambitions regarding the general classification. Hopefully we will manage to achieve the same result with one of them as I obtained three years ago,” Wiggins said, according to 100%Velo.
„It will be exciting because it's an entirely different role for me, I'm not used to it. I'll try to do my best, even though targeting the classics means I'm 5-6 kilos heavier than when I won that race.”
