Vuelta a Andalucia, a 2.1 race that enters its 60th edition in 2014, will be hold in Andalucia from Feb.19 to Feb.23, as the race officially announces its detail today, including route and stage profiles.

The race will be 1 day longer than its 2013 edition, with a similar start in the form of a prologue. The prologue is 7.3km long, and will be hold in the city of Almeria. After that, there will be three mountain/hilly stages and a flat stage. Among the mountain stages, stage 2 will likely offer the hardest challange, as it ends in the MTF of Sierra de Cabra, which is about 12km@6%. The other two mountain stages are hilly enough that they can provide GC actions, too.

Vuelta a Andalucia always attract pretty good lineup in recent years, as it holds a good time period in calendar, and has a challenging profile as well. Valverde(Movistar) won both the 2012 and 2013 editions, and Van den Broeck(Lotto-Belisol) finished runner-up for three times. The race will be broadcasted live, too.
