For the fourth consecutive year, the organizers have included the climb to La Molina in the course for the Volta a Catalunya.
In 2017, the riders will return to the site that has played a key role in the last three editions. Joaquim Rodriguez, Tejay Van Garderen and Dan Martin have taken the wins in the 2014, 2015 and 2016 editions, respectively.
For the 97th edition, the climb located near the town of Alp will be tackled again. It will be preceded by the Puerto de Toses. Col de Molina will be tackled twice in a stage that should be very similar to that of the last edition.
The organizers have already revealed that the race will include another summit finish in stage 5 and that stage 2 will be a team time trial.
