Elia Viviani is ready to return. After a rather low-key start to the 2014 season and a participation in the Track World Championships held in Colombia, in which Italian cyclist didn’t manage to reach his objectives, the Cannondale rider is already rolling up his sleaves eager to quickly build a proper disposition to excel in the forthcoming events on road.
As he has just returned from the World Championships held in South America, Viviani made an assessment of his latest expedition.
“It were difficult World Championships and I didn’t arrive there in top disposition,” Italian sprinter wrote on his blog.
The Cannondale rider admitted to be hugely disappointed with his performance in the points race – the competition which he red-circled before the Track Championships kicked off, but also thoughtfully emphasized that he values such experiences as important lessons for the future.
“I’ve always been convinced that these are moments when you learn most as a sports professional, at least it works for me this way, I analyze carefully every detail of performances which didn’t bring expected results.”
Convinced that getting through a harder times always serves as an important lesson and relentless in chasing his dreams despite the temporary difficulties, Viviani is now eager to return to road racing with entirely new goals on his way, the Giro d’Italia being the most important.
