Iljo Keisse and Elia Viviani have taken the lead from previous leaders Kenny De Ketele and Moreno De Pauw on the second day of the Six Days of Ghent. De Ketele-De Pauw again set an impressive track record.
Kenny De Ketele and Moreno De Pauw again won the points race. They also took victory in the 500m time trial with a new record. On Tuesday during the opening night De Ketele and Peacock beat the time of 27.03 set by Swiss Tristan Marguet and Franco Marvulli and Germany's Christian Grasmann and De Pauw. They clocked 26.90. On Wednesday, De Pauw, perfectly launched by De Ketele, shaved another 25 hundredths off that time.
The first madison was won by team-Keisse Viviani. De Ketele and De Pauw were only fourth, trailing by one lap. Mark Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins won the final madison.
Viviani and Keisse are now in the lead ahead of Wiggins and Cavendish. De Ketele and De Pauw are one lap behind in third but have the most points.
