The Revolution Champions League in Paris has been canceled. According to a report by Directvelo, the ticket sales for the track race in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines have been very disappointing.
Despite various campaigns, there is little enthusiasm for the event in Paris which was scheduled for the 18th and 19th of November. The Champions League race in Manchester (November 25-26) and London (December 2-3) will go ahead as planned.
The Velon group brought the Revolution Champions League to life as a way to include track cycling in their portfolio addition to road cycling. The plan is to have twelve teams in the races. Eight of them are from the World Tour, including LottoNL-Jumbo and Giant-Alpecin.
