Jelle Vanendert (Lotto Soudal) went down in the 6.85-kilometer prologue of the Baloise Belgium Tour and lost 3:01 to Matthias Brändle.
"Jelle hit something at full speed and so he crashed," press officer Arne Houtekier tells Het Nieuwsblad. "He got some abrasions on the left knee. Normally he will start the first road stage of the Baloise Belgium Tour. The stage will probably end in a sprint so we will be in full support of Jens Debusschere."
