In the 5th round of the Superprestige, Lars van der Haar raced to 8th place after a muddy race in Spa-Francorchamps. Wout van Aert soloed to his 13th victory in 13 weeks.
After the race, van der Haar said: “It wasn’t my weekend. The legs weren’t great at all and that didn’t improve during the race. It was an unbelievable tough course. Luckily for me they shortened the walking section.
“During the race I found my rhythm and really tried to make the best of it. The last two laps were very heavy for me and I lost 3 positions, which was unnecessary.
“For now I have to recover. I hope the legs will improve and that I am ready for the next races again, mentally too.”
