Lars van der Haar moved into a joint first place in the Superprestige standings by taking third in today's race in Zonhoven. Admitting that he was unable to stay with the best in the finale, the Dutchman is proud of his performance in a tough weekend.
Lars van der Haar raced to third place at the second race of the Superprestige in Zonhoven. It was again a strong demonstration from van der Haar, giving him a first place overall in the competition together with Sven Nys.
“I felt good today, was good in the race. I could follow and come back every time, but had no answer to the last powerful attack from Nys and Pauwels. I actually hoped to hang on into the the last meters and do a sprint. But they attacked too fast, I made a small mistake and had no answer.
“I am happy and proud about my weekend, I proved that I can race a hard double weekend”.
