The 102th edition of the Belgian race Scheldeprijs will start on Wednesday in Antwerp. Among 14 ProTour teams, the BMC Racing Team will participate in the race. Their line-up for the race will include among others Greg Van Avermaet, who yesterday finished 2nd in Ronde van Vlaanderen.

The BMC Racing Team showed off some aggressive tactics at the Ronde van Vlaanderen, which succeeded with at place on the podium as runner-up after Fabian Cancellara. The team has now announced their roster for the upcoming Scheldeprijs. Van Avermaet is back on the Belgian roads as captain for the team.

It will not be the exact same team, which will try to support him as in Ronde van Vlaanderen. Thor Hushovd, Klaas Lodewyck, Manuel Quinzato and Silvan Dillier, who all drove the Ronde van Vlaanderen, will also in Scheldeprijs be a part of the supporting team. New to the line-up are Sebastian Lander and Danilo Wyss.

The race will take place on Wednesday with a 200,9 km route from Antwerp to Schoten. Defending champion Mark Cavendish will not participate, so the race will have to see a new winner this year.
