With barely any rest after their participation in Paris-Nice, Tirreno-Adriatico and classics GP Nobili and Milan-San Remo [this Sunday], Movistar Team keeps tackling hard races into its 2013 calendar and will face no less than ten days of competition next week.
The seven-stage Volta a Catalunya, one of the four Spanish WorldTour races, from Monday and three Flemish classics in Belgium –Dwars door Vlaanderen, GP E3 Harelbeke and Gent-Wevelgem- on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, respectively all feature on the Movistar itinerary.
For the 93th edition of the Volta, the squad will feature overall GC contender Alejandro Valverde, together with Nairo Quintana, Rubén Plaza, Vladimir Karpets, Sylwester Szmyd, Imanol Erviti, José Herrada and Eros Capecchi. The Catalan race will not have any time trials and includes two mountain-top finishes on Wednesday (Vallter 2000) and Thursday (Port Ainé).
