The UCI has published a photo of the medals that are at stake at the Cyclo-Cross World Championships Cyclocross in Heusden-Zolder in late January. Lars van der Haar reacts has already reacted on twitter: "I want one."
"The best CX riders on the planet will fight for these in @kheusdenzolder next month," the UCI tweeted.
President Brian Cookson quickly added: "Very pleased to reveal our new medals. Can not wait to give them to the first World Champions of 2016," he wrote before van der Haar used his account to declare his desire to get one of the coveted prizes. Van der Poel is the reigning champion in the men's race while Pauline Ferrand-Prevot won the women's title in 2015. Tomorrow's World Cup race in Heusden-Zolder will be a dress rehearsal for the race.14.05 - 19.05: 4 Jours de Dunkerque |
