Team LottoNL-Jumbo will be forced to redesign their jersey. The International Cycling Union UCI has rejected their design as it has too much yellow.
On October 23, LottoNL-Jumbo which has been known as Team Belkin in 2014, presented their new jersey for the upcoming season, revealing a design that was mostly yellow and black. However, the UCI considers the jersey as having too much yellow, De Telegraaf reports, and it has informed the Dutch team. The reason is that it is too similar to the leader's jersey in mange stage races, most notably the yellow jersey in the Tour de France.
At the presentation, manager Richard Plugge acknowledged the problem and worked to find a solution for the Tour de France. Now they must come up with an alternative already before the start of the season.
In the nineties, Once used to ride in yellow jerseys. For the Tour de France they made a special pink jersey, to prevent any confusion for the fans.
The new team will have to adjust their outfit. Whether they will hold a new presentation is uncertain
