Having been invited to spend a few pre-season days with the Quick-Step Floors team, Kristoffer Halvorsen has had to cancel his participation. 

The U23 world champion suffers from pain in his knee according to  Procycling.no. He prefers to rest to be readyt to join his team, Team Joker, on January 11. The Norwegian consulted a specialist and has been informed that the conditon is serious. He will undergo some checks to make sure that everything is okay and he should be able to get back on the bike within a few days. Meanwhile, he has been swimming to maintain his form during the recovery.
