From August 1, German rider Nils Politt and Colombian rider Jhonatan Restrepo will continue their season as trainees (stagiares) with Team Katusha.
Nils Politt (Köln, 6 March 1994) is one of the best German U23 riders of 2015. He impressed Team Katusha’s management at the Bayern Rundfahrt where he finished 6th in a fied loaded with WorldTour riders. For Team Stölting he won the German U23 Road Championships in Bruchsal. In 2014 he was the German U23 Time Trial Champion.
Jhonatan Restrepo Valencia (Pácora, 28 November 1994) is the current U23 Panamerican Road Champion. Restrepo took the title in May in Mexico. The Colombian rider from Coldeportes-Claro is good in all terrains. This year he won a stage and the points classification in the Vuelta de la Juventud and finished 3rd overall. On the track he won many national titles (pursuit, madison). For Team Katusha he will start in the Tour of Burgos (August 5-8).
