Even though it has been over three months since the information about the Tinkoff-Saxo rider Michael Rogers having tested positive for clenbuterol following his victory in the Japan Cup was announced, there is no progress in the case with lack of news about results from the B sample analysis.

Rogers tested positive for clenbuterol after his solo victory in the Japan Cup last October, which was preceded by his participation in the Tour of Beijing with a very well defined threats concerning consumption of contaminated food in China.

In such circumstances, the 33-year old Australian claimed to be innocent and insisted he has never deliberately ingested a banned substance.

"The Australian explained to the team management that he never ingested the substance knowingly nor deliberately and fears that the adverse analytical finding origins from a contaminated food source," a press release stated.

Rogers also made his team, Tinkoff-Saxo, aware of the result and became provisionally suspended, not having raced a single day in 2014 season as a consequence. Asked by Cyclingnews, spokesman of the Danish squad said there has been no progress made in that case since the last announcement as no results from the B sample were provided.

"The team knows nothing new for now, we are waiting for news," Jacinto Vidarte said.
