Stage 4 of the Settimana Coppi e Bartali was flat, non-technical 14.3 km individual time trial loop starting and ending in Crevalcore and thus not suited to jeopardize Diego Ulissi's 58 s overall lead.
The stage win went to former Italian national TT champion Adriano Malori in 16 minutes and 14 seconds as Lampre-Merida enjoyed their third stage win in as many days to continue their complete domination of the Italian stage race. In the overall classification Diego Ulissi was able to expand his lead, which now seems unassailable ahead of the final stage on Sunday.
