Topsport Vlaanderen delivered an impressive performance in stage 2 of the Ster ZLM Toer as the team split the field in the crosswinds before Edward Theuns sprinted to second in the reduced bunch sprint.
"Greipel was slightly stronger," Theuns told Sporza. "I'm not disappointed. First and foremost I am particularly pleased as I was in 5th or 6th in the final corner and had to move into the wind to catch Greipel's wheel. I managed it but it cost me some energy. ,Well, it's no disgrace to be beaten by such a powerhouse."
