Kenny Elissonde could wear the Team Sky jersey in 2017. The French rider, who has ridden at the WorldTour level with FDJ since 2011, is rumoured to have signed a two-year contract with the British team, according to VeloPro.
During the last hast years, Elissonde has ridden five Grand Tours (four Vuelta a Espana and one Giro d'Italia). His best result was a stage win in his first Vuelta in 2013, at the top of the Angliru. He has won also a stage in Paris-Corrèze.
He was very aggressive in this year's Spanish grand tour. The FDJ rider wore the mountains jersey between stage 15 and the penultimate stage. He finished second to Robert Gesink (LottoNL-Jumbo) inthe queen stage where riders had to climb three categorised climbs before they got to the Col d'Aubisque.
