Katusha Team has announced their squad for the upcoming World Tour race Tour de Pologne. Among the Russian dominated squad is the fighting rider Maxim Belkov. The Russian won a stage in the Giro d’Italia last year from a breakaway.
Maxim Belkov is joined in Poland by Sergei Chernetckii, who made a top 10 result in the Tour de Pologne ITT last year and Eduard Vorganov, the former Russian champion from 2012.
A stage win must be the goal for Katusha. Marco Haller is set to be the team’s rider in the sprints, which he has showed results in before. Also Vorobyev is strong in the sprints. He won stage 8 in the just finished Tour of Austria.
Tour de Pologne will be held on August 3rd to 9th. The team’s line-up is: Maxim Belkov, Giampaolo Caruso, Sergei Chernetckii, Marco Haller, Petr Ignatenko, Alexander Rybakov, Eduard Vorganov and Anton Vorobyev.
