For the first time since 2010 when he narrowly lost out to Chris Horner, Alejandro Valverde will be back at the Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco and he will be backed by formidable roster for one of the biggest Spanish races. He will use Saturday's GP Miguel Indurain as a warm-up while the team will line up a roster of outsiders for Sunday's Ronde van Vlaanderen, spearheaded by Francisco Ventoso and Andrey Amador.
The Movistar Team will be kicking off its April calendar on Saturday with their home race, the Gran Premio Miguel Indurain, start of an intense, nine-day schedule that will lead them to the Ronde van Vlaanderen and the Vuelta a La Rioja a day later, before the Vuelta al País Vasco departs from Ordizia on Monday for six demanding stages.
