"I am very, very disappointed. I do not know why I started to early as I was in the perfect position on Florian Senechal's wheel. I had to wait, and then I made this error."

The disappointment was heavy in the Bretagne-Séché Environnement camp at the finish of the Tro Bro Leon. The special race in Bretagne didn't smile to the team which did everything perfectly all day.In the final 30km, the team had two riders in the 5-rider breakaway that decided the race.

This control of the race finally escaped the team in the last 50 meters where Alexandre Geniez passedBenoît Jarrier. Just before the flamme rouge, Pierre-Luc Périchon attacked, only to be caught 100 meters from the line.

It ended as a frustrating day despite the incredible attack of the black and green jerseys in Llanilis: 2nd for Jarrier, 5th for Périchon, 6th for Florian Vachon, 9th for Kevin Ledanois and 11th for Anthony Delaplace!

"I am very, very disappointed," Jarrier said. "I do not know why I started to early as I was in the perfect position on Florian Senechal's wheel. I had to wait, and then I made this error. The fear of winning, perhaps? I knew that I had lost some energy along the way: I changed wheel three times and I closed a 1'30 "gap with Bagdonas to return to Pierre-Lu'sc group. Maybe I didn't have the legs of last Sunday's Paris-Roubaix where I had more strength? I was still 2nd like in 2012, and I was 4th here last year. I just love this race. What a disappointment!"

"I wanted to ride as a team until the end," Perichon said. "It was normal because a priori, Benoit is going faster than me. But when I attacked in the final kilometer, I was strong. However, I had spent nearly 100 kilometers in the break and I missed that energy in the last 200m. I faded in those 200m. Benoit passed me because he had already come off Senechal's wheel and I saw Geniez pass him. We had controlled the race until that point. This is a big disappointment."

"We controlled the entire race," Vachon said. "We were there but we could not finish it off. It was a beautiful day, with Benoît and Pierre-Luc in the front, coming out of a beautiful Paris-Roubaix. They had all our trust. But after 205 kilometerson gravel roads, freshness is the key and Alexandre Geneiz did well. We knew he was very strong."

"The disappointment dominates, well beyond our beautiful presence throughout the Tro Bro Leon," sports director Roger Trehin said. "We were everywhere, all the time, we were close but we did not win. It's infuriating. We were om front all day, it was almost perfect. Pierre-Luc and Benoît were instructed to attack each turn and we hoped that Bonit was the fastest. I think he started a little too early in the sprint. There was a little headwind in the finale."

At the midpoint of the Coupe de France PMU (8 of 16 races have been done), Bretagne rider Pierrick Fedrigo still leads the individual standings , and Bretagne is the leader in the teams standings too.
