With the likes of Kittel, Aru, Nibali, Boonen, Stybar, Gaviria, Contador and Sagan all riding Specialized bikes, the company can certainly claim to have the best roster of bike riders on the planet. But should Tinkoff fail to secure a new sponsor, the company may lose Peter Sagan.
There are rumours linking him to Trek-Segafredo and BMC, but Specialized are reportedly very keen to keep the world champ on one of their machines and are considering helping Etixx-QuickStep to sign the rider by paying part of his monumental salary, around 4 million Euros in his current deal, perhaps worth more in his coming contract after taking Flanders.
