Sergio Henao secured third place overall at the Tour of California following a dramatic final stage in Los Angeles.
The Colombian crossed the line safely in the bunch following a hectic and high-paced finale which saw the battle for overall race victory go down to the wire.
Supported by his team-mates, Henao finished an eventual 37 seconds back on race winner Peter Sagan (Tinkoff-Saxo), who secured a last-gasp victory by a matter of inches in the final sprint.
Ian Boswell and Pete Kennaugh demonstrated the team's consistency after eight stages by finishing seventh and ninth overall. That also led to a victory in the team classification by over four minutes.
What had been expected to be a routine run to the finish turned out to be anything but. Sagan headed into the day with a slender two-second deficit over Julian Alaphilippe (Etixx - Quick-Step), and a maximum of 13 bonus seconds available out on the road.
Throwing his bike at the line in the final sprint, Sagan edged out third place by the slenderest of margins, with bonus seconds ultimately handing the Slovakian a three-second victory.
Team Sky were active early on, sensing the potential for a win due to the unique nature of the stage. Danny Pate, Christian Knees and Nathan Earle all enjoyed brief forays off the front, but with the pace high a breakaway victory became increasingly unlikely.
In the end the race came back together for a bunch sprint around the famous Rose Bowl in Pasadena, with Mark Cavendish (Etixx - Quick-Step) taking his fourth win of the race.
