The Organizers of the Japan Cup have confirmed that there will be six WorldTour teams at the start of the 2016 edition. This event will take place on October 23 in the city of Utsunomiya.

Fabian Cancellara, Bauke Mollema, Taylor Phinney, Damiano Cunego, Theo Bos, Edvald Boasson Hagen are all expected to be at the start.
