Yesterday the Six-Days of Amsterdam was put on hold when derny pacer Cees Stam crashed heavily on the second day of the race. Despite Stam still being in critical condition, the race will continue tonight.
As a result of an accident during the first derny race on the second day of the Six-Days of Amsterdam, Cees Stam has spent the night in the VU Univeristy Medical Centre in Amsterdam.
Despite some positive signs, Stam's condition remains critical and the organizers are in close contact with his family. Nonetheless, the Six-Days of Amsterdam will continue with a full schedule tonight.
After the first day, Niki Terpstra and Yoeri Havik lead the race.
