Thanks to changes in the UCI rules permitting WorldTour riders under the age of 23 to ride the Tour de l’Avenir, Sky’s Sebastian Henao and new Etixx-QuickStep signings Fernando Gaviria and Rodrigo Contreras, have been selected to ride the race for Colombia.
Astana’s defending champion Miguel Angel Lopez hasn’t been picked as he is provisionally pencilled in to ride the Vuelta a Espana.
Aldemar Reyes (GW Shimano), Germán Chaves (Coldeportes - Claro) and Daniel Martínez (Team Colombia) complete the line-up for the race.
