After a bad start, Team NetApp-Endura bounced back with a great performance in yesterday's second stage of the Tour of Denmark. Having arrived at the race on the back of a great showing in China, Daniel Schorn sprinted to fourth.

Daniel Schorn placed an outstanding fourth in yesterday’s second stage of the Tour of Denmark, which began in Skive and ended in Aarhus and was marked by numerous breakaway attempts. After 195 kilometers, Andrea Guardini of Italy (Astana Pro Team) claimed victory in a mass sprint ahead of Gerald Ciolek (MTN – Qhubeka) and Matti Breschel (Tinkoff – Saxo). Magnus Cort Nielsen (Cult Energy Vital Water), the winner of yesterday’s first stage, continues to lead in the general classification. Daniel Schorn is in ninth place overall, with a deficit of 11 seconds behind the leader.

“The race was very similar to yesterday’s first stage. We once again had terrain similar to a classics race, with narrow, undulating roads. There were a lot of attacks on the final lap, where we worked together very well as a team and caught up with the last group. After that, the guys did a great job setting up the sprint for Daniel, who was then able to race to the finish from a very good starting position. He sprinted into a very good fourth place finish. Given the hard final part of the race, we can definitely be satisfied with that. Tomorrow, a steep hill on the final lap could be decisive for the outcome of the stage. This means that we’ll have to pay attention and get into a good position on the final lap to be out in front,” Sport Director Andre Schulze said after the second stage.
