For the second year in a row, Luis Leon Sanchez will lead Astan at the Tour Down Under. According to Velo-club.net, the Spaniard will be supported by Dutchmen Lars Boom and Lieuwe Westra who also did the Australian race in 2015.
This year Sanchez missed out on a spot in the top 10 and he hopes to do better in the race in 2016. In the past, he has had lots of success on the Australian roads. Westra was second in stage one of this year's race while Boom can expected to be at a higher level in 2016 as he will do a relatively heavy cyclo-cross campaign.
Davide Malacarne, Maxat Ayazbayev and Laurens De Vreese will also make their season debut under the Australian sun. The last spot in the selection is apparently still open.
