Peter Sagan is convinced that the current peloton no longer has a doping problem. The world champion made the comment today in an interview with German television program Sportschau .
"Today's professional cycling is clean. What happened, happened. There is now a new generation. Cycling is very clean. "
According to the 26-year-old Slovak, it is almost impossible to use banned substances because of the strict controls.
"We live in a prison. We must always tell where we are. Doping controllers can come anywhere.
"But I'm glad that I ride in a clean peloton. Today young riders get the chance to win. That's proof that you can do no longer do impossible things.”
