Following the 2014 team presentation in Los Angeles, California, Cannondale Pro Cycling plans to focus its attention on South America where the team will take on the Tour de San Luis in Argentina. Six riders will head south to participate in the six-stage race - five road races and one ITT.

The Tour de San Luis will be the 2014 season debut for a number of the Cannondale Pro Cycling team members, including Peter Sagan, Moreno Moser and Damiano Caruso. Although Sagan did not take any stage wins last year, placing 2nd once and 5th twice, it was the springboard to an amazing 2013 season.

"The level of competition and tough routes are perfect for a season kick-off," said Sagan. "I trained well during camp prior to San Luis and laid a strong foundation. This year, I am eager to view my opportunities to win and start 2014 in the best way I can."

"We are going to ride the Tour to San Luis with a strong team," said directeur sportif Stefano Zanatta. "Many factors may influence the race performance, but fortunately we have men equipped for every stage. Sagan is our leader, but we plan to seek group potential in San Luis to determine who will have more chances for stage wins."

Argentina will prove significant for Moreno Moser and Damiano Caruso, who will compete in San Luis for the first time in their careers. Other riders including Alessandro De Marchi, Oscar Gatto and Marco Marcato, will be looking for opportunities to prove themselves and support the team.
