World champion Peter Sagan has made it clear that he is preparing for a "very special" 2016 which will see him wear the rainbow jersey with the Tinkoff team.
"I'm very motivated and eager to start. It will be very special to wear one of the most beautiful jerseys," Sagan told EFE.
The Tinkoff rider who is gathered with his team in Gran Canaria, said that the island is a "beautiful and ideal" place to prepare for the season.
"The team is happy and already working hard to begin well," the 25-year-old Slovakian said.
Sagan, winner of four green jerseys at the Tour de France, has indicated that he will start his season in Argentina at the Tour de San Luis and then take part in "some very important classics" before he will go "all out" in the Tour de France and the Rio Olympic Games.
