Bardiani-CSF returns to the Tour of Britain after a one year absence facing the eight stages scheduled for the race.
Six riders have been selected by team director Stefano Zanatta. Edoardo Zardini, who won a stage in 2014 and wore the leader's jersey for one day, will look for a bold performance after the positive signals during the last races. Together with Manuel Bongiorno, he will form the #GreenTeam couple for the climbs. Nicola Boem and Alessandro Tonelli will play the role of breakaways hunters, while Nicola Ruffoni (who finished second in Liverpool in 2014 between Kittel and Cavendish) and Paolo Simion will be the leaders for the sprint.
“In France we collected wins and great performances, we’re ready to continue the series,” explained team director Stefano Zanatta. “We selected a well equipped team. All the riders have a positive build-up so far and condition is pretty good. I’ll ask them to be focused every day doing their best. Everyone will have enough freedom to leave a mark on the race. I hope and expect they don’t lose this chance”.
