The Dutch team Roompot-Nederlandse Loterij has been given a professional continental license for 2017. According to a statement from the team, the UCI has informed that the procedure was completed successfully.
For Roompot-Nederlandse Loterij, it will be the third season at the second highest level. At the Wielerpassie Festival in Rosmalen this afternoon, they also announced that with Lekkerleasen.nl, Ekoi and BYE! will be three new partners.
The team which was named Roompot-Oranje Peloton in its first two years, won six races in 2016. 35-year-old Pieter Weening achieved the greatest successes: he won a stage and the overall classification at the Tour of Norway and a stage in the WorldTour race Tour of Switzerland.
