Pierre Rolland (Europcar) went on the attack early in stage 14 of the Tour de France but was brought back by IAM.
"It was another big day," he told L'Equipe. "I wanted to be in front in a big breakaway. But they would not let me go. The big teams were not concerned but other teams did not want me to be there. Everybody defends their interests. I could still move up a little in GC. But the riders who fight for the top 10 won't let me go. I suffered a bit on the final climb but my teammates supported me perfectly."
