The 2015 Tour de Suisse had new surprises in store with a hard finale, full of attacks, on the race's Ticino day - the shortest, over 117km - from Quinto to Olivone, including the Gothard (HC), Leontica (Cat-2) and Aquila (Cat-3). Slovakia's Peter Sagan (TCS) won a twisty sprint out of a 30-rider group, after the fast pace in the group and the final moves - one of them led by Winner Anacona (Movistar Team) - chased down the early break.
The Colombian was the top performer from Jaimerena and Laguía's squad for the second day in a row, the Blues having another man at the front in José Joaquín Rojas - 10th into the sprint. It should be easier for the Spaniard to exploit his abilities in what's expected to be the the first bunch kick in the race on Tuesday: 193km from Flims to Schwarzenbach, with Kirchberg (Cat-3) crested 22km from a slightly uphill final straight (3-4%).
