From Monday 18th to Sunday 24th, Katusha Team will be in Spain for the 93rd edition of the WorldTour stage race Volta a Catalunya.
The leader of Katusha Team will be the Catalan Joaquím Rodriguez, and for the first time this season he will be supported by the Russian rider Denis Menchov.
Since shifting its place on the race calendar from May to March in 2010, the Volta a Catalunya has abandoned time trials altogether, and this year is no exception. Thus, with the absence of any race against the clock and with two summit finishes, Rodriguez, supported by a versatile and coherent squad, must fancy his chances of repeating his 2010 Volta a Catalunya win.
The complete Katusha roster will be as follows:
Giampaolo Caruso, Dmitriy Kozonchuk, Alberto Losada, Denis Menchov, Daniel Moreno, Joaquím Rodriguez, Simon Spilak and Yuriy Trofimov.
