On Sunday, April 19th, the Russian WorldTour Team Katusha opens the 2015 “Ardennes week” with the famous classic Amstel Gold Race in the Netherlands. This year the race celebrates its 50th anniversary. In addition to the Amstel Gold Race the “Ardennes week” also includes two more classics: La Flèche Wallonne and Liège – Bastogne – Liège.
The team will be led by Joaquim Rodriguez who recently won the Vuelta al Pais Vasco and is looking for revenge after he crashed out of the race in 2013 and 2014. He will be supported by his trusted lieutenants Daniel Moreno and Giampaolo Caruso and an in-form Tiago Machado while there is no room for Alexandr Kolobnev who crashed in Pais Vasco
