Having ridden in support of Alejandro Valverde at the Worlds, Joaquim Rodriguez and Daniel Moreno will be back in a leadership role when they line up in Milan-Turin tomorrow. The pair is well-suited to the Italian classic which ends with two passages of the hard Superga climb.
The Russian WorldTour Team Katusha opens its final two weeks of the 2014 season with the oldest one-day race in the world Milano – Torino, whose first edition was held in 1876. This year, on October 1st the race will face its 95th edition.
In 2013 Katusha’s rider Daniel Moreno took 3rd in this race.
This time the team’s line-up is: Pavel Brutt, Giampaolo Caruso, Sergei Chernetckii, Alberto Losada, Daniel Moreno, Joaquim Rodriguez, Egor Silin and Eduard Vorganov.
