Mikel Aristi Gipuzkoa (1993, EDP Fundaci Euskadi) will turn professional at the French pro continental Delko Marseille-Provence KTM next season. The agreement is for two years, according to Spanish website BiciCiclismo .

Aristi has been one of the leaders of his amateur squad, after riding at the continental Euskadi team in 2013 and 2014, and showed his quality from start to finish of the calendar. Specifically, he took seven victories: Laukiz, a stage of the Volta Coruna, Segura, Irun, overall in the Vuelta a Toledo, Escalante and a stage of the Vuelta a Cantabria. Furthermore, he was second in Tour Jura in Switzerland and, with the Spanish team, seventh in the ZLM Tour and 14th in the Vuelta a La Rioja. After a good junior and U23 career, he is finally rewarded.

At 1,80m and 72 kilos, Aristi has the opportunity to shine in France and use both his power and sprint. He will have the chance to slowly ease himself into the professional levelbecause he has signed for two seasons as a neoprofesional.

Aristi's new team will move from continental to pro continental level and will feature riders like Colombian Leonardo Duque (Team Colombia) and Argentine Dani Diaz (Funvic Brasilinvest-São José dos Campos), the Tour de San Luis winner. Nothing has been confirmed yet but Thierry Hupond (Giant-Alpecin), Yannick Martinez (Team Europcar), Norwegian Fredrik Stand Galta, Romain Combaud and Quentin Pacher (Armée de Terre) and Martin Laas (Team Pro Immo Nicolas Roux) are also set to join the team. Julien El Fares, Remy Di Gregorio, Benjamin Giraud and Evaldas Siškevičius will remain in the team.
