45-year-old Davide Rebellin is not ready to hang up his bike. As it has been the case for several seasons, the decision about his future career has been postponed and now he has finally made up his mind. On social media, the veteran says that he is ready for another year. "I have started the workouts with much joy and energy ,” he wrote. “The decision to ride for another year brings me great enthusiasm.”
For now, Rebellin has not signed a contract for the 2017 season but he is in negotiations with at least one team. "For the moment, there are ongoing negotiations and as soon as I have made a decision, I'll let you know.”
The Italian will start his 22nd season as a pro on the back of a third place in the Czech Cycling Tour and a ninth place in the Dubai Tour.
