For the third consecutive time, CCC Sprandi Polkowice will take part in the French stage race, Tour du Limousin. Davide Rebellin, who finished on the podium last year, will be the leader of the orange squad.

"The race is held in the Massif Central, where there are no long ascents for typical climbers. The course is very hilly though and it should suit Davide Rebellin and Maciej Paterski. They both like to race in that kind of terrain and are in good form after the Tour of Poland. The Italian was third overall last year, was twice in the top 3 on the stages and we hope that we can deliver similar results also this time," Piotr Wadecki, sporting director of CCC Sprandi Polkowice, explains.

"Marek Rutkiewicz, Adrian Honkisz, Adrian Kurek and Mateusz Taciak are going to try to get in the escapes and go for the stage win. Grega Bole and Christian Delle Stelle will have the opportunity to showcase their sprinting skills in case of a bunch sprint finish," he adds.

The French stage race is 4 days long. It kicks off with a 176-kilometer stage from Limoges to Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche. There are almost no flat sections on the route and this is where the initial selection may occur. The second day of racing should play the biggest role in terms of final general classification. The climbs are longer and the finish is located at the top of a hard ascent in Lissac-sur-Couze. The last two stages – from Dizier-Leyrenne to Aigurande and from Aixe-sur-Vienne to Limoges - are both undulating and have up-and-down characteristics. Also the finishing meters are slightly uphill.
