The Six Days of Bremen overnight leaders, the Danish-German pair of Alex Rasmussen and Marcel Kalz maintained their possition following the third day of competition, but a rivalry gains a new intensity as two other pairs are remaining at the same lap.
Rasmussen and Kalz had a significant advantage coming into the third night of competition in Bremen, but couldn't hold back an offensive of other three pairs remaining in contention: Lampater/ Stroetinga, Grasmann/ Hester and Kneisky/Morkov.
As a result, the Danish-German pair still remains at the top of the general classification of Bremen Six, but it is mainly thanks to crossing tha 200-points mark and thus gaining another bonus lap. Two combinations remaining at the same lap as leaders, Lampater/Stroetinga and Grasmann/Hester are short of points, having 141 and 131 on their accounts respectively, but fourth duo of Morgan Kneisky and Jesper Morkov should be able to gain a bonus on Sunday night.
Should Rasmussen fall of the pace during final nights, as it was a case in previous Six Days held this season, the rivalry for a victory in the Six Days of Bremen remains wide open.
