Nairo Quintana will not travel to Brazil for the Olympics. Prior to the start of the final stage of the Tour de France, the Movistar capstain made the announcement for Colombian media.
Quintana acknowledged that he does not have the form to achieve a top result.
He was set to line up alongside Sergio Henao, Rigoberto Uran, Esteban Chaves and Miguel Angel Lopez. A replacement has not been named but based on his recent performances Jarlinson Pantano seems to be in pole position.
We will have more on the story later.
