Nairo Quintana says he isn’t worried about having to ride over cobbles at this year’s Tour de France. He says his younger brother Dayer, who also rides for Movistar, has given him advice already on how to ride the cobbles after starting Paris-Roubaix in 2014.
“He tells me that the key thing is your positioning in the group,” Quintana told Colombian newspaper El Tiempo. “The truth is that the issue does not bother me. Yes, it’s the first time I’ll ride the pavé but it’s not another world.”
Quintana was speaking at the Colombian national road race on Sunday in Rionegro, where he fell in the final kilometer and saw his chances of taking the jersey go up in smoke.
