Domenico Pozzovivo (Ag2r) surprised most when he finished seventh in the bunch sprint on stage 5 of the Vuelta a Espana.
"Today was a stage for sprinters, but it was hard, so everyone wanted to be in front to avoid a split," he told Cyclingpro.net. "I was well-placed by the team and then I managed to take a nice result which is not bad. "
"The sensations improve so I hope to be better in the coming days. I think the second week will be important, but the day after tomorrow there is a long climb that will indicate who is good and who is not."
