Wout van Aert looks set to be Sven Nys' successor in cyclocross. The master doesn't see much room for improvement for his compatriot who
dominates this season.
"If there's a point where he still has work to do, it's technical skills. Othwerwise I think he is the perfect cross rider," explains Sven Nys in Sportsweekend on the Belgian TV channel Sporza.
Wout van Aert has won five of his six races. Where can Nys still beat Van Aert? "In the bar areas and on the dangerous descents, I can still make a difference."
On Sunday, van Aert was defeated for the first time this season. Lars van der Haar was too strong on his home climb of Cauberg. Nys finished third in Valkenburg.
