According to Robinson Chalapud and Jarlinson Pantano who will not ride for the team in 2015, Colombia have not paid their salaries for the last five months. They are now using social media in an attempt to get their money.
Colombia riders that are set to leave the team at the end of the year are still seeking a response from the managers of Codeportes, asking them to pay the salaries that have not been paid yet.
Robinson Chalapud and Jarlison Pantano have used the social network Twitter to ask director Andres Botero for a response. Asked by Ciclismo Internacional, Chalapud who will return to Colombia with the Orgullo Antioqueño squad said:
“We have not received our salary for five months and they won’t reply.”
Ciclismo Internacional also contacted staff members of Colombia to give them the opportunity to defend their position but they declined to do so.
It should be mentioned that this is not the first time this happens at Claudio Corti’s team. A similar situation occurred in August 2013.
